I’m sure that most of you have heard about the popular anime, Bleach. It was written by Tite Kubo and it is a very well known show with an international following. The anime Bleach follows the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who can see spirits. One day he encounters one named Rukia Kuchiki and she accidentally transfers her powers to him. Now he must take on the role as a Soul Reaper.

Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo is the main protagonist of Bleach. Since he was a little kid, Ichigo has always had the ability to see spirits and ghosts. One day, Rukia Kuchiki came into his life and gave him her powers. He is a smart but he acts like an idiot, yet most of the time it’s all just for show. He has his moments where he appears to be apathetic and uncaring, though those are always short-lived because deep down inside you know that this guy really does care about others no matter how rough around the edges they seem.

Rukia Kuchiki

It’s refreshing to see a female protagonist who is strong and selfless. Rukia doesn’t need much help from Ichigo, she takes care most of their enemies without him around. Rukia Kuchiki is always ready to help her friends in any way she can, even if it means sacrificing the very life that defines who she is.

Orihime Inoue

Orihime Inoue is the epitome of a well-developed girl. Her brave and power are unmatched by anyone in her group (she even has chosen not to fight so as not to be a liability for her friends). And it’s clear that she developed her powers over time. Orihime Inoue’s story is one that will only captivate you from the beginning to end. It has a unique feel and never ceases to amaze, keep us on our toes or make your heart break for her at times. Plus she has an almost undying love for Ichigo.

Toshiro Hitsugaya

Toshiro is the youngest captain who wields the most powerful Zanpakto in the soul society. His bankai form is called Daiguren Hyorinmaru. Many people love him because he is cute, strong, and awesome!

Yasutora Sado

Yasutora Sado is a strong, unique and underrated character. It’s unfortunate that his storyline has been pushed to the sidelines while other characters get more attention on screen. I’d like to learn about him better so we can see who he really is as an individual rather than just another fighting character in this Bleach anime series.

Uryū Ishida

Uryu Ishida is my favorite character from the series. He’s strong, he has a nice voice and his hair is really cool too! Uryu Ishida knows the true meaning of being professional. Even though he was targeted by bounts and lost his powers, that didn’t stop him from kicking a lot of butt–he’s still doing it! His determination to continue fighting for justice is an inspiration to us all.

Renji Abarai

Renji is one of the best characters in Bleach, he always thinks rationally even when his life depends on it, and is also very kind and forgiving. Furthermore, he is also the very first 2nd in command officer to achieve bankai which is awesome. He’s also caring for Rukia.
