Causes the VG27AQ's IPS panel leaking edge light around the bezel with a mid-brightness backlight and no local dimming, panel-to-panel manufacturing variance with the newer AUO panels, clamping the panel under the stand for transport, running brightness high in a dark room, and a mount pressing unevenly on the frame. Fixes: distinguish bleed from IPS glow, lower brightness, avoid crushing the frame, run a bleed test and lightly loosen the VESA mount, and get a warranty swap if it is severe.

Causes the VG27AQ's USB ports being 'upstream' ports that require a USB-B cable to the computer, plugging a device into them without that upstream link, a loose or low-power upstream cable, Windows not recognizing the hub/driver, and power or port-level faults in the hub itself. Fixes: connect the USB-B upstream cable to the PC, check the USB mode and port, try another upstream cable/port, update the hub driver in Device Manager, and power-cycle or warranty the unit.

Causes the VG27AQ shipping with its default Racing/sRGB mode and brightness lifted so colors look pale, the panel being pushed into a limited RGB/16-235 range or incorrect color depth over the cable, HDR being forced on for SDR content so the panel lifts gamma, a default color temperature out of tune, and no wide gamut so colors can look muted next to a DCI-P3 panel. Fixes: pick sRGB/Racing and drop brightness, run RGB Full + proper color depth in the GPU panel, turn HDR off for SDR, adjust color temperature, and load a calibration profile.

Causes G-Sync Compatible/FreeSync Premium variable-refresh flicker over DisplayPort, the 165Hz overclock outrunning a weak DP 1.2 cable, ELMB Sync conflicting with adaptive sync, a bad or outdated GPU driver plus overlay apps, and an almost-seated DisplayPort connector. Fixes in order: reseat/upgrade the DP cable, disable the 165Hz overclock and drop to 144Hz, toggle G-Sync and ELMB in the OSD and NVIDIA control panel, update the GPU driver, and power-cycle.
