What is Vlog?

Do you know what a vlog is? If you are not sure, then this post will help to clear things up.

What is vlog and vlogger?

A vlog is video blog that generally features the person who created it and their opinions on certain topics in life. It can be about anything from home decorating to how they feel about a new product launch.

Vloggers are people who create videos. A vlogger will typically talk directly into the camera for extended periods of time, explaining what they’re doing or feeling at any given moment while giving their opinion on different matters: “What this product does well” versus “I’m excited because I just finished my work project,” which makes them more personal than traditional blogs or videos.

What you need to create a vlog

Camera

You need a camera for creating your own vlogs. If you’re looking for more professional gear then cameras like DSLRs are typically used by many professionals who film full-time but these require quite a bit of knowledge about how they work before someone could really use them proficiently enough without having any issues arise from their usage over time, meaning anyone unfamiliar with this type of camera should avoid them in most cases.

The content can be anything from home decorating to how they feel about any new products launch so long as its not simply someone talking into the camera with no explanation of why they’re filming. It should also go without saying that you’ll want some other form of lighting such as natural light rather than artificial light.

Smartphone or tablet

You can use your phone to create vlogs so long as you have a decent phone camera and light sources.

Some of the most popular cameras for mobile devices are smartphones, though these typically need extra lighting in order to be effective enough at its job. You may also want an external microphone if possible because it’ll help keep things sounding more crisp and professional when shooting with just one device rather than two separate ones that could cause some echo on recordings.

Otherwise, tablets work best for those who don’t necessarily want their hands all over anything while filming but still wish they had something other than just a screen to film from – especially since many people won’t always have access to a tripod or monopod even with a tablet.

Accessories

You’ll need some sort of microphone since sound quality is important as well if you want your vlogs or videos on YouTube or Facebook to get more views than just from those friends that have come across it while scrolling through their news feed – even though this might not matter so much depending again on what kind of content is.

In addition to the mic, you’ll need a stand for your device as well so that it’s angled towards whatever subject is being filmed rather than just straight up in the air.

You may also want an external monitor of some kind if possible because at times it can be difficult to see what’s on your screen while filming – especially when shooting with one hand or holding something else during recording sessions.
