Samsung May Be Launching a Robotic GEMS Hips Assistive Exoskeleton This Fall

Samsung has been working on a robotic exoskeleton called GEMS for several years now. The device is designed to help people with mobility impairments walk more easily. Samsung is reportedly now ramping up production of the GEMS exoskeleton in preparation for a launch as early as this fall. The company is said to be focusing its efforts on passing FDA certification for the device.

If successful, Samsung would be the first company to commercially release a robotic exoskeleton in the US. The GEMS exoskeleton is worn around the waist and legs and uses motors to assist with hip and knee movement. It also has sensors that detect when the user wants to walk, and can automatically begin assisting with movement.

Samsung has not officially announced when it plans to launch the GEMS exoskeleton, or how much it will cost. However, reports from the company’s home region suggest that an announcement could come as early as this fall.

What is Samsung Gems Hip?

As Samsung’s branding might suggest, the GEMS Hips are designed to attach to the wearer’s hips. GEMS, which stands for Gait Enhancing & Motivating System, is a robotic exoskeleton that helps the wearer walk and move more efficiently. This is accomplished by assisting with the movement of the legs and hips, thereby reducing the effort required to walk or move.

Additionally, GEMS Hip can be used to help rehabilitation patients regain mobility after an injury. While exoskeletons are not new, Samsung’s GEMS Hip represents the latest trend in this exciting area of technology. With its ability to assist with movement and reduce fatigue, GEMS Hip has the potential to revolutionize how we live and work.

According to Samsung, the exoskeleton can make you walk faster and with less effort! For example, the metabolic cost of a person’s step will be reduced by 24%. That means they won’t have to push as hard on their feet when taking each step thanks in part due to this incredible device. Plus users may experience an increase of 14% speed while wearing one – all without sacrificing any power or control over where exactly he/she wants their body posture to go at any given moment.

The potential for Samsung GEMS Hips is extremely exciting, as it could lead to a variety of different applications. For example, the exoskeleton might have been used in factories and work environments but also in more medically focused ones like helping patients walk again after surgery or boosting strength during recovery time from an injury

The usability will depend on whether this device gets FDA approval which isn’t guaranteed yet so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!

It seems like Samsung is planning on launching its newest gadget soon! The company’s plans match up with those of last year, which means they aim for an August launch.
