ONEXGPU 3: Next-Gen eGPU with AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (RDNA 4)
eGPU Gaming, AI Development, Local LLM Inference, Content Creation, 3D Rendering, Video Editing, Workstation Docking, Handheld Gaming Docking, Mini PC GPU Expansion
Overview
The ONEXGPU 3 is the third-generation external GPU from ONEXPLAYER (ONE-NETBOOK), unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. It represents a major generational leap by integrating AMD's desktop-class Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU with RDNA 4 architecture, featuring 64 compute units, 4096 stream processors, 16GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus with 640 GB/s bandwidth, and a 180W TGP. This delivers an estimated 48.7 TFLOPs of FP32 compute performance — more than double the ONEXGPU 2's 21.4 TFLOPs and a 2.3x increase over the original ONEXGPU. The enclosure connects via OCuLink (PCIe 4.0 x4, 64Gbps) or USB4 (40Gbps) to gaming handhelds, laptops, mini PCs, and desktops, and includes a built-in M.2 NVMe SSD slot, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and a microSD card reader for full desktop docking functionality. Pricing and availability were still TBD at the time of announcement. The ONEXGPU 3 targets high-end 4K gaming, AI/ML development and inference, 3D rendering, and professional content creation workflows that demand the highest available external GPU performance.
