It's ambitious. It's audacious. And it's arriving with more question marks than a press conference held in the dark.
Let's start with what FLUX 3 actually does, because the capability list is genuinely impressive on paper. The model can generate text-to-video, image-to-video, video-to-video with character references, keyframe transitions, multilingual dialogue, and even longer multi-shot sequences stitched together through what BFL calls "agentic chaining." That last bit — continuity across scenes — is the real prize. It's the wall that generative video has been smacking its head against since Sora first dazzled us with that woolly mammoth walking through snow. Until those blanks are filled, FLUX 3 is a fascinating research preview wrapped in a marketing push — impressive, ambitious, and not quite ready for the production workloads it's asking for. The technology is real. The transparency around it is not.
