  2. Format the card inside the camera before every big shoot — Open Settings → Storage → Format SD Card and confirm from the camera itself — never format the Action 6's card on a computer and expect identical behavior. In-camera formatting resets the cluster size and clears the fragmented directory structure that accumulates when files are deleted and rewritten constantly. If you must format on a PC, use the official SD Memory Card Formatter (sdcard.org) with full overwrite, then format again in-camera as the final step.
  3.
