Causes
- The Intel Arc B390 driver has not loaded: a fresh Windows 11 install on the F2A often boots on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter until the Intel graphics driver is installed. On the Basic Adapter the F2A may only light the first enumerated output, leaving the HDMI 2.1, DP 2.1 and both USB-C video ports showing no signal even though the device works.
- A USB-C cable without DisplayPort Alt Mode: the F2A's USB4 Type-C (40Gbps, DP 1.4) and full-featured USB-C (20Gbps, PD 100W, DP 1.4) carry video over their DisplayPort Alt Mode lanes, but many third-party USB-C cables are charging-only. Plug one of those into a USB-C display and you get nothing on that port.
- Too much bandwidth for the cable or adapter: the F2A advertises quad 8K output, but driving a 4K or 8K panel over HDMI 2.1 requires a premium 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 cable. An older or "high-speed" (18 Gbps) HDMI cable handshakes at 1080p or drops to no signal at higher resolutions and refresh rates.
- The monitor is set to the wrong input source: with four video outputs it is easy to feed one port while the monitor is tuned to another input, or for the display to sit on standby while Windows is actively outputting on a monitor it no longer sees as connected.
How to Fix
- Confirm the F2A is outputting: press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and, if you see the lock screen, the unit is running and the fault is purely the display path. Also connect via the ACEMAGIC remote-managed desktop or enable Remote Desktop briefly to confirm Windows is up before touching cables.
- Switch the monitor to the matching input: on each display use the on-screen menu to select the exact port you plugged into (HDMI 2.1, DP, or USB-C). This rules out the most common one-port-blink situation in seconds.
- Install the correct Intel Arc driver: open Device Manager → Display adapters. If you see Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, the Intel driver is missing. Download the F2A graphics driver from the ACEMAGIC support page for this model (or the Intel Arc driver directly) and install it, then reboot. This lights up the HDMI 2.1, DP 2.1 and both USB-C video ports at full resolution.
- Use a proper USB-C / DisplayPort cable: for video over the F2A's USB-C or USB4 port, use a cable that explicitly supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to USB-C video cable). For the HDMI 2.1 output, use a certified ultra high speed HDMI cable rated for 48 Gbps.
- Redetect the display: press Windows key + P and try Duplicate then Extend, then in Settings → System → Display press Detect. If a monitor appears in the list but stays black, set a lower refresh rate in the Advanced display settings and re-test.
- Try the output directly: if a USB-C monitor is black via the hub, plug directly into the USB4 port. Because the F2A carries four independent video paths, a failing adapter or hub on one link is a common cause of a single dead monitor while the others stay on.
