Causes
- A mismatched or Windows-updated Bluetooth driver — the F2A's Bluetooth rides on the Intel combo module, and the same automatic driver that replaces the Wi-Fi stack also overwrites Bluetooth. A generic Intel Bluetooth driver on a Panther Lake machine produces the classic symptom of devices pairing then dropping, or never being discovered.
- The Bluetooth Support Service is stopped or disabled — Windows 11 needs the Bluetooth Support Service and Bluetooth User Support Service running for pairing to complete. After a feature update, an antivirus or a cleaning tool can leave these services set to Manual-but-stopped, so the F2A stops seeing or connecting to devices until restarted.
- Stale pairing records or device cache — a corrupted pairing record on the PC or on the peripheral (a controller, earbuds or speaker that "remembers" an old MAC) gets stuck and refuses a fresh handshake. This is the most common reason a specific earbud or gamepad pairs with a phone but never with the F2A.
- USB power management on the combo module — Windows 11's USB selective suspend can pull the wireless module low-power and make Bluetooth unresponsive or force disconnects in bursts, especially when the machine idles.
How to Fix
- Restart the Bluetooth service — press Win + R, type
services.msc, and find Bluetooth Support Service. Right-click and Restart, set its Startup type to Automatic, and repeat for Bluetooth User Support Service. Reboot and try pairing again. - Toggle the adapter off and back on — open Settings → Bluetooth & devices, turn Bluetooth off, wait a few seconds, and turn it on. If it stays greyed out, open Device Manager → Bluetooth, right-click the Intel adapter, choose Disable device then Enable device to force the radio to reinitialize.
- Remove the stale pairing and re-pair — in Settings → Bluetooth & devices, click the problematic device and Remove device. Also factory-reset or forget the F2A on the peripheral (for earbuds, this usually means holding both touch pads). Then put the peripheral in pairing mode and add it fresh from the F2A.
- Install ACEMAGIC's Intel Bluetooth driver — go to the ACEMAGIC support page for the F2A and download the Intel Bluetooth driver for this model. Uninstall the current one in Device Manager (check Delete the driver software), reboot, then install ACEMAGIC's version. Do not let Windows Update supply the driver afterwards.
- Turn off USB power saving for the wireless module — in Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers and Bluetooth, open each related device's Properties → Power Management, and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. This stops the dropouts that follow an idle period.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter — open Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Bluetooth, and run it. It restarts services and clears the driver cache automatically when a service or record is the cause.
